Field Notes

What happens after an edit closes.

From reservations closed to piece received — the stages, the updates, and what happens if a release does not proceed.

Reservations close on the stated date — or earlier, if the allocation is reached first. From that moment, the piece moves through a fixed sequence, and you hear from us at every major stage.

Confirmation of the release

First, we confirm the release. A limited edit proceeds when its commercial and supplier conditions are satisfied — the deposits received, the order with the production partner placed, the samples approved where feasible. If a release does not proceed, everything you paid is refunded; the conditions and timing are on our Returns page. You will not be left waiting to find out.

Preparation and quality checks

When the release is confirmed, the pieces are produced and consolidated, then shipped to Kenya. Before anything reaches you, every order passes a local quality check. If something does not pass — a seam, a measurement against the listed garment measurements — it does not go out.

Balance and delivery

Once your piece is in the country and checked, we ask for any outstanding balance, and you choose delivery or collection. The remaining balance is always the figure stated on the product page: full price minus what you paid today.

If a window moves

Each piece carries an estimated arrival window. If that window moves, you hear about it when we know — with the reason and the new window — and the delay policy on our Returns page explains what you are entitled to if the delay extends beyond what the product page stated.

The short version: reserve, follow, receive. The stages are fixed, the updates are human, and the numbers never change behind your back.
